BirdLife South Africa believes that conservation begins with conversation, which is why we launched the webinar series Conservation Conversations.

Since April 2020, this series has grown into a mainstay programme. Now in its seventh season, it delivers engaging education and entertainment each month.

Each session lasts 45–60 minutes, followed by a 15–30 minute Q&A, offering insights into South African or global conservation efforts, remarkable birding destinations, and our key success stories.

All episodes are recorded and available to watch on our YouTube channel via the links below.

How to Sign Up

Joining is simple and free. Follow these steps to get started.

Download Zoom

We host these webinars on Zoom. If you have not already installed the Zoom application on your computer, please download it here — it is free

Step 2

Register Once

Click the ‘Register for this talk’ button in the list below. Enter your name and email address to receive your unique access link for the entire series — no need to register for individual talks.

Step 3

Check Your Email

Upon registration, you will receive an email containing the link and password. Reminders will be sent the day before and one hour before each session.

Step 4

Join the Live Session

The Zoom room opens 15 minutes prior to the start time. With a limit of 500 participants, please join early to secure your place for the live event.

Step 5

Missed It? Watch Later

Missed the live session? All talks are recorded and uploaded to BirdLife South Africa’s YouTube channel the following day, where you can watch and comment.
