Philip is a Chartered Accountant by profession and advises on accounting and financial matters. He has previously served as Chairperson of the BirdLife South Africa Board, and as Treasurer and Chairman of the Audit Committee of BirdLife South Africa. He is a passionate birder and citizen scientist. He served as Chairman and Treasurer of his local bird club BirdLife Northern Gauteng for many years. He has also served as Treasurer on the Council of the Hellenic Community of Pretoria for a number of years.
